What has your career path been like so far? Who have you worked with?
In 2001, I started working for a Mercedes dealer and stayed there for many years. First, I was a receptionist, then a showroom salesperson, a fleet salesperson, a sales manager, and a sales director. Eventually, I ended up at Mercedes-Benz Warszawa, the Mercedes dealership in Warsaw. In the meantime, I was seconded to Łódź for three years, where I opened a new dealership for the Bemo Motors group, a dealership group. There, I was later responsible for sales.
Then I returned to Mercedes-Benz Warsaw.
The next step in my career was working for an importer, specifically Volkswagen Group Polska, where I took up the position of SEAT sales manager.
After that, I decided to leave the corporation and founded Mind Your Business.
What do you do at MYB?
I am the founder of the company, its first and, for many years, its only consultant. I specialise in design, sales and management. I also have consulting projects that I am currently implementing in Poland and abroad.
Please complete the sentence: I am a business consultant because…
… because I immodestly believe that one of my superpowers is that I see more than others. This translates into specific algorithms and schemes for various solutions, from which we choose the best ones together with the client. Later, with my help or sometimes without it, they are successfully implemented.
… because I see certain things, I can talk about them, and I am good at developing effective, proven, and unconventional solutions.
What role does your own business experience play in consulting?
A huge one, although the fact that I did something X years ago, whether at Mercedes or Seat, is no longer so important today because the world has changed and the business looks different. But the decisions I made back then – good, bad, successful, unsuccessful – and the people I met along the way, from whom I was able to learn, this compilation is particularly valuable and business experience understood in this way is important. Add to that 10 years of business experience at MYB and it makes me a good consultant and a good coach.
What do you like most about your job?
I like the creative business process and its results the most. From ideas that arise during projects, knowledge shared in training sessions, or specific solutions in consulting projects. The end result brings the greatest joy and satisfaction. The moment when we realise that what we have managed to develop simply works.
And what is the most challenging?
Apart from logistics, a lot of preparation, and organising trips, the most challenging thing is the need to listen carefully and understand the needs and expectations of clients in order to ultimately satisfy them fully.
What companies/industries do you like to work with?
Until recently, I was convinced that I wanted to be a multi-industry consultant, but the fact is that it is best to work in the field in which you are the best expert. So I think I like working in the automotive industry, especially with premium brands, which I know and understand best.
